THE NAME IS ARMENIAN. IT SIGNIFIES THE SUN AND LIGHT -
ENTITIES I ALWAYS SEEM TO BE CHASING.

Nominated for 3 national Emmys in 2010, I am a videojournalist, photographer and filmmaker who accepts editorial and commercial assignments worldwide.

A new media and Final Cut Pro devotee, I write, shoot, produce and edit for broadcast television, web and print publications.  My balancing act between video reportage and the still image is based out of New York.

My work has taken me to more than 20 countries and throughout the United States.  Prior to my recent return to contract work, I was a principal video journalist and producer for the international news show Worldfocus on PBS.

My experience is ample.  I produced from the front lines of America’s war in Afghanistan for NBC Nightly News and spent three years covering the Palestinian Intifada as NBC’s Tel Aviv bureau producer.  I have reported “on-air” for ABC-TV, NBC-TV and NPR affiliate stations and produced for the newsmagazine show Dateline NBC.  Before Worldfocus, I worked as a conflict photographer based out of Cairo, Egypt and as a video journalist for the Associated Press in New York.

For my coverage of the Palestinian Intifada, I was named a national Emmy finalist with my NBC colleagues and won an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University silver baton.  I was awarded an Emmy citation for my work in New York during the 9/11 tragedy.  I have received accolades from the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Headliner Club, Investigative Reporters and Editors and Getty Images.

My productions have appeared on APTN, the BBC, NBC, PBS and the Huffington Post; my photography in the New York Times, Le Figaro, LA Times, Paris Match, Der Spiegel, Stern, Suddeutche Zeitung, and Corriere della Serra.
